Chef Kat
Personal Chef | Whole-Foods Cooking & Plant-Forward Flavor
Chef Kat (Katherine) brings over 20 years of culinary and hospitality experience, with a passion for whole-foods cooking and supporting local farms. Born into a multicultural family with Mexican, German, and Eastern European roots, she was raised in a Southern kitchen where home-cooked meals were a nightly tradition. Her mother kept Gourmet magazine clippings taped to the cabinets — sparking Kat’s love of diverse cuisine from an
early age.
After graduating from Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School, Kat became executive chef of a vegetarian café and market. Since then, she has dedicated her career to cooking with clean, natural ingredients — focusing on meals free from pesticides and as local as possible. She holds a Nutrition Certification from the National Restaurant Association and has completed advanced coursework in nutrition through eCornell.
Kat specializes in veggie-forward, globally inspired meals with an emphasis on balance, color, and freshness. Her favorite cuisines include Latin and Mediterranean, and she’s passionate about helping clients feel energized, nourished, and satisfied through food.
Outside the kitchen, you’ll find her connecting with growers at local farmers markets, exploring food truck culture, or staying current with restaurant trends — always with a deep respect for the ingredients she cooks with.
